Today, i had a race at seng kang. Kien Mau supposed to be there but he had some last minute problems in malaysia and unfortunately could not turn up :( Hope to see him at the next race and hope that he is ok!

So bascially, i actually didnt know Kien Mau was not there at the start of the race. The 6 Div guys keep saying he like to start at the back and catch us all so i guessed ok maybe he is somewhere behind. When the gun went, a Morrocan, a Malaysian and Me and SUnny quickly settled into the first pack. at the 1km mark, i saw that KM was still not there, so i ask Sunny where is KM?? he say behind. I said some words of exclamation because that is very sneaky of KM if he is really behind! haha. ANyway, at the 5km turn around mark, i saw that KM was not there and our pack of 4 was pretty near the next group of runners, only about 10sec, I upped the pace and only left the malaysian (New Balance sponsored runner) and me. He looked fit despite having some white hair. So at 6km mark, i tried to surge and drop him, but no avail! he was really strong! Into the park once again, it was hilly, and i was really tired man! Next, I just followed him as his pace was not slow! he was pushing it gradually. WHen the last 1km, i was practically just hanging there. With 80m to go, i sprinted really hard and managed to win the sprint finish. It was really a challenging race.

Oh well! it was fun and my first pay day for 2009 - $300 for my pocket money. That can probably last for 6 weeks or so! Hoping that I dont have to take money from my parents this year seeing that the economy is not good! haha.

Saw many fellow runners today and many did a good time! Girider was good, devathas was good, jacky was good. Seems like we got a pretty strong team coming up!! THe 6 divison peeps have really good team spririt with same jerseys and everything!

Nice start to the season. Hope 2009 will be good for everyone.
